While the Earth Remains
While the earth remains,
Seedtime and harvest,
and cold and heat,
and summer and winter,
and day and night
shall not cease.
Genesis 8:22
Spring showed up, here in northern Texas, over the weekend. Last week, just a few days ago, the ends of the branches were fluffy and full, looking ready to burst forth. Then they did. The only thing I love more than trees dressed in leaves of gold and red and yellow is trees dressed in baby leaves. Those bright green ones, barely unfolding, promises of brand new life.
If Spring hasn't quite made its way to where you are, hold on. It's surely just around the corner! In the meantime, go buy yourself some flowers to put by the kitchen sink. They'll help you hold on til the ones in the ground burst forth.
