Clean undies and Dairy Queen

Well, we were set to close and move in. I even got to touch a!l the new app!iances and walk on tbe new carpet. Then it rained. Rains are a big deal in Texas,,especially in the spring. So the power went out to 95,000 homes,,give or take a few, including our new one, so no final inspection. Which means no certificates of occupancy. Which means no closing, so no moving going on. At least not for a day or three.

Oh bother, so much for making plans.

So instead we did laundry at the hotel and went to Dairy Queen.

Clean underwear and ice cream can't put everything aright but sometimes they go a long way towards soothing much of what ails you.
